Welcome to my blog! Here is a little bit of information to help you get to know me. I am a molecular lab technician in a toxicology lab at the EPA. I am involved in both molecular lab and modeling projects related to ecological toxicology.
While I am currently involved in spatial modeling and analysis projects, my interests in GIS go back a little further. I started learning about GIS to investigate potential predictors of sea turtle occupancy and bycatch, or incidental capture, of sea turtles at fishing piers along Florida's Gulf Coast. Since then, I have continued to pursue GIS research which led me to the UWF GIS Certification.
During this certification, I am excited to learn more about the applications of GIS, and I hope to gain a more refined set of GIS skills that I can apply to my current position and any future positions.
To help you get to know me on a more personal level, I have attached a link to a Story Map that highlights some of my favorite snorkel and dive spots. I love the water and anything else outdoors really, so I thought it would be fun to highlight my underwater adventures. Stay tuned to hear more about my journey in Computer Cartography!
